The two-sided four cylinder glue spreader is meant for the two-sided appliance of glue on wooden or wood derivative elements in the production of furniture, boards, and plywood. The glue spreader is designed for work in a veneering line or as a standalone machine.
The main working elements of the machine are two pairs of precise cylinders, making up an upper and lower glue spreading set. Each pair is made up of a spreading cylinder and a dosing cylinder. The selection of the parameters of the rubber mixture and the type of its surface on the spreading cylinders is dependent on the requirements regarding the quantity and quality of the applied glue. The space between the touching cylinders in a pair and the side seals creates a container, out of which glue is channeled through a regulated slot and spread on the rotating spreading cylinder.
Glue is spread as the boards pass between the upper and lower spreading cylinders. A driven conveyor is found in the front part. A chute is found behind the cylinders, on which the glue-coated boards slide onto the veneering line conveyor. The spreader is equipped with a pressure roll, making supplying boards easy. A safety strip, connected to the limit switch, is found before the pressure rolls, and protects the worker from putting his hands in a dangerous area.
